Trade is not the only issue encompassed by the NAFTA Agreement. The agreement also covers unique visas for citizens of signing Countries.

The NAFTA Agreement provides for the TN visa, which is a non – immigrant visa for Professional Canadian and Mexican citizens that wish to immigrate to the United States temporarily for work purposes. This visa is a great opportunity for those Mexican and Canadian professionals who wish to work in the United States.

This visa is issued for a year and it is renewable for subsequent years. This visa does not allow the professional to apply for permanent residence in the United States. The list of Professionals eligible for this type of visa can be found on Appendix 1603.D.1 of the NAFTA Agreement.

If you wish to evaluate the possibility of filing for the TN visa, our Lawyers at The Victoria Law Group will be glad to assist you in this process.
