So, the U.N. is trying to be a representative body, extending it’s hand to some new and diverse countries. However, it takes two to tango! Just hours after winning a coveted place on the U.N. Security Council for the first time, Saudi Arabia did a stunning about-face last week and rejected the seat, denouncing the body for failing to resolve world conflicts such as the Syrian civil war. In fairness to the U.N., there’s only so much any one can do for some of these centuries old, and seemingly intractable problems. Again, it take two to tango.
